This is a list of drives known to work with CD-ROM Tool, but it is by no means definitive. If your drive is not listed here, you'll have to try it yourself to see if your drive's speed and/or spindown can be changed. I maintain this list partly for my own amusement, and partly in hopes that it might help those who are concerned about drive noise to decide which drive to buy. Compatibility information is reported by CD-ROM Tool users, so it may be incomplete or inaccurate; please keep this in mind if you are using this list to decide which CD-ROM drive to purchase.
